CHNGQ
China Natural Gas, Inc. operated as a diversified natural gas company, delivering both natural gas and gasoline products to commercial, industrial, and residential clients across the People's Republic of China. Its primary focus involved the distribution of compressed natural gas (CNG) through a network of 31 fueling stations, controlled by its variable interest entity as of December 31, 2012. These stations were geographically distributed, with 20 located in Shaanxi Province, 10 in Henan Province, and one in Hubei Province. Beyond CNG, the company also installed and managed a high-pressure natural gas pipeline network, spanning approximately 120 kilometers, which supplied piped natural gas to over 122,000 residential and commercial customers in areas such as Xi'an, Lantian County, Lintong, Baqiao (all in Shaanxi Province), and Lingbao (Henan Province) as of the same date. Additionally, China Natural Gas, Inc. maintained four facilities dedicated to converting gasoline-powered vehicles to run on a hybrid natural gas/gasoline system. Headquartered in Xi'an, the entity ultimately faced an involuntary Chapter 11 bankruptcy petition filed in February 2013, which was subsequently converted to a Chapter 7 liquidation on July 2, 2014.
